“What if my doctor doesn't take Medicare? Can I still go see them?”

Sure, you can see them, I mean technically see anybody that you want as long as you're willing to pay cash

Many doctors are going to a concierge model or direct primary care model where they only take cash or they only take conventional employer insurance and not Medicare. In those cases, if you want to continue seeing your doctor, you have to pay cash and pick a plan that doesn't require you to have any referrals. You can still keep your doctor and secondarily rely on Medicare if you have big expenses or just hospitalizations or surgeries.

If a doctor is not in the medical system and decides not to take Medicare, even if you have a Medicare plan that includes out of network benefits, unfortunately because you don't take Medicare your plan will not be able to reimburse you for seeing your doctor. It would be in your best interest financially to find a doctor who is in your network and accepts Medicare.
