Enrolled in an Employer Plan, so what about Annual Enrollment Period?
“If I'm on my employer plan do I have to do anything during the Medicare Annual Enrollment Period?”
Sound familiar? If your healthcare is currently provided by your employer, and you’re happy with it, simply do nothing during the Medicare Annual Enrollment Period. This is the time between October 15th to December 7th.
If you are already enrolled in Medicare through an Advantage plan or Part D prescription plan, updates to your plan for the following year are released during this period. You can decide whether you want to switch or stay, however if you're on your employer plan, simply just follow the enrollment periods that your employer has for your current coverage and you can ignore all the billboards and advertisements that come out about Medicare during this time until you're ready to go on Medicare full time.
